favorite song

I have often wondered what's my favorite song...one that I would hum/sing again and again...one that I would never get tired off? Recently I started using the IPhone app "Shazam". The way this app works is that if a song is playing somewhere (radio/tv/....), just hold up your iphone and within seconds this app will tell you the song name, artist, album etc etc. Surprisingly, while driving to and from work, in the last 2 weeks or so, I have a collection of 80+ english songs that I like.... and I know there are many more I like. One day I will just buy all these in bulk from itunes. ;)

Coming to Hindi songs, while the newer songs are very catchy and get you in the mood to get up and hit the dance floor, but one tends to get bored of them after a while. not so for the older hindi songs. While I don't know which one of the olies is my favorite but here are a few that I like.

Anupama

Jeene ki raah

Anokhi Ada

Gambler

Hum Dono

Roti Kapada Makaan

Saccha jhoota

Prem Pujari

There are more but then I don't want to bore my audience too much ... ;) but in passing, a few ghazals (some are not original singer)

Kal chaudhavi ki raat thi

Hungama - The best

Us mor se shuru kare

Hum to hae pardes mein

spring break

I will be working from home all of next week. Why? you ask... well, Nalin has the week off, Ruchi starts a new job and there is a lot of work and pressure at my work... kapish? So, I will be taking car of the kiddo, cooking, cleaning and working at the same time. sounds like fun, doesn't it??? 8-(

We got this basketball hoop set for our backyard and finally with the weather improving, I and Nalin practised hoops for the first time (for him). I am proud to say, he beat me 11-7 (wink wink) but it was amazing to see the joy on his face everytime he would make the hoop. Dadu was as usualu dozing in the backyard and Nalin would run wake him up excitedly everytime he would make a basket. Man, I felt sorry for dad... but it was all great fun.

For lunch, we all went to Pasta Pomodoro and sat outside... the weather was just beautiful... very relaxing. and as all good things need to come to an end, I guess that was the highlight of the day... if you catch my drift. :(

Got some flowers from the nursery to plant at the house.... will do so tomorrow morning.

work load is really high these days and expected to increase in the days to come. April 24th is a key day for me. I need to prepare well for the day. Had to go on an important business lunch this week but due to the wfh this week, will have to postpone till next week.
