PETA

I am now officially a member of PETA (atleast for 2009). I didn't really sign up but I contributed some money for their fund raiser (S is running a half marathon for them and asked for donations) and the next thing I know, PETA starts sending me mails (email and print incl mags) welcoming me as a member. For those still unaware, PETA is an org that is fighting to stop cruelty towards Animals. I believe in the cause but never thought I would sign up as a member. PETA - People for Ethical Treatment of Animals.
