End of summer

As summer draws to a close for me, it is time to get ready for a tough year ahead. Classes start this Saturday. Time for some conjoint Analysis and corporate finance. Plus I will be in a leadership summit this weekend. A cleantech event here in the bay tonight and a smartgrid event on Sep 29 in the city.... In the middle of all this, try to do my work - which has a tight schedule. sigh!!!

Coming back to summer, it was fun. First off, we had 2 breaks. First we got 3 weeks off and then a mini qtr with 1 course on OTM for 5.5 weeks and then another 5 weeks off. Went to sunny Florida and just last week, me and the missi went to Phoenix/Scottsdale, Arizona. A good time for everyone involved.

Also, over the summer, got the kitchen and 3 baths remodel done. Quite an involved project but glad it is over. House looks so totally awesome.

My darling turned 4. Celebrated in a theme park. Another Indian family buys a house on our street (the house opposite). Have a house warming party at their place and an Eid party the day before at another neighbors house. Good fun if you catch my drift.

Expenses have been spiraling out of control this past summer. Bought a $1k SLR camera without batting an eyelid, Gas Range, Double door steel refrig, over the counter convection microwave/oven... ah!! the list goes on.

India trip coming up in November but I may be able to go only for 2 weeks if at all. If I do, planning on meeting at least a couple of childhood friends. FB is great. :)
